Primary Therapist
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join J. Flowers Health Institute, a concierge mental health startup redefining the way integrated care is delivered. We work with individuals of all ages, ranging from high-functioning professionals to those with high-acuity needs, across the mental health, physical/medical health, substance use, and mental illness spectrum.
As a Primary Therapist, you’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, collaborating with top medical providers, life coaches, and mental health specialists who each bring their own expertise to the table. This is not just a therapy role — it’s an opportunity to lead comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, coordinate care with families, and design wellness plans for long-term treatment success.
At the heart of this position is a deep commitment to understanding the human condition and every individual’s unique story. One of the most essential parts of this role is capturing those stories in writing — creating detailed, clinically sound diagnostic reports that truly reflect a person’s lived experience, ensuring their voice is central to the treatment process.
We are deeply committed to cultural humility and inclusivity in every aspect of care — honoring and respecting each client’s identity, including race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Our approach emphasizes meeting people exactly where they are, with curiosity, respect, and clinical integrity.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Resilient and grounded, able to hold space for complex and emotionally charged cases,
- Passionate and creative in their clinical approach,
- Strong in written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex clinical impressions into meaningful, accessible language, and
- Skilled at connecting deeply with patients, families, and team members to foster lasting change.
- Skilled in modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, DBT, and/or Trauma Focused therapy a plus.
If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited about shaping the future of concierge mental health care, we’d love to meet you.
